Process of Activities for Completing this Project using web tools

In order to complete this project, we used several convenient web tools. First, we used WhatsApp web and WhatsApp mobile to set a group and meeting time for our project. WhatsApp. WhatsApp Is a very convenient communication contact mobile application especially for doing this project. For example, we used WhatsApp for discuss our project, the problem, share Google form for questionnaire, share link for Google drive, Pinterest and Padlet. All our design and development process that is share in WhatsApp among our group mates.

Second, we also used Google form. Google form is an online service which offered by Google Company whereby the form can be created by anyone who has Google Account. The Google form will be saved on the user’s Google Drive. The purposes of Google form are for the users to set up questions regarding their projects or survey and share it with the others through online so that people can fill up the questions for them. All the responses to the Google form will be save in an Excel file which is store in Google Drive. Once the users are done collecting the data, they can close the form and download the results. Just like almost all other Google Services, the forms can be customized. Google Company offered 24 different themes with myriad colors and each of them can be customized to meet the user’s aesthetic requirements.

Based on our experience when using the Google form, the fact that we like about the Google form is that it is free to use but the requirement is that we need to have a Google Account. Next, it is also very easy to use and set up the questions whereby you just have to click and choose the style you like on how the questions will look/ask and how would you like the respondent to answer our questions such as objective version, short answer version or long answer version. It is all depend on how you choose. Other than that, the results will be auto-count whereby you do not have to waste time on counting it yourself. You also can choose on how you would like the results to display for you such as bar chart, pie chart, and other more.

Therefore, based on the results off our survey on ‘Finding Part Time Job Among College/University Student’ using Google form is that most of the college/university students have funding from PTPTN but even with PTPTN funding, most of them still agree that it is not enough for them. Due to this, most of them are willing to find and work as part timer so that they are able earn some extra income for themselves yet it is hard to find part time jobs. Most of the college/university students find part time jobs through social website advertisement yet some of them are through family and friends introduce. Due to this, the college/university students do not have a constant way of finding a part time job. Therefore, we propose an idea/solution for the college/university students whereby we will develop an app for them whereby they can search for part time jobs anytime, anywhere through the app.

Third, we used Google drive to manage our file between group mates. Google drive Is a file storage and synchronization service that develop by Google. Thanks to Google drive very convenient file storage and synchronization services. Even when we are in different places, we can still view and edit each other’s files via Google Drive. Not only that, we will also find information on part-time jobs, mobile apps, college and other related classes stored on Google Drive. In this way, we can use Google Drive to share information that we find and discuss which ones are needed or not needed. For example, we collect some reference picture for our app interface design from Pinterest and store it at Google store as an inspiration.

Fourth, we also use Pinterest for our inspiration and references for user interface design. Pinterest Is a network and mobile platform that can upload pictures, download pictures, and share pictures. Users can add and manage their own picture collections by theme and share them with friends. After we find and collect picture, we upload all the picture to Google drive for our designer as an inspirations and references. So, Pinterest really help us in the part of designing user interface for our searching part time job app.

Five, Padlet is another useful web tool that we used. Padlet is a tool that we use to record our step by step process and post. We also use it to record our duty and task in this project. Padlet is a very easy-to-use cloud sharing tool website, the concept of which is to provide ‘wall panels’ for users to write text, and free to paste pictures, web pages, documents, recordings, etc., to share their personal views. Unlike Google drive, because its concept is to present the content as a 'wall cloth', and you can add a grid to the board to record the work of each member. So, everyone can check and record related issues quickly and comfortably. For example, we record the design process, the task of every group mates and the development process of our whole project.
